This is Net (sp?). I was standing in the middle of a quiet street in Hue staring at a map trying to find a pagoda with a promising tourbook description when this delightful lady approached and asked in English what I was searching for. After providing directions to the pagoda she told me she lived in Hue during the war and worked as a librarian for the Americans. I couldn't help thinking she was lucky to be alive as many people like her were executed during the Hue Massacre when the NVA held the city for 25 days in 1968. -- Hue, Vietnam. (hu2108)
